Born in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1948, Klaus Röder has developed his interest in experimental music since the 1960s. He studied violin and piano, sound engineering, composition and guitar. He soon discovered a passion for manipulating tape sounds and synthesizers, which led him to even create his own custom-made instruments. He playes in the free Jazz gropu Synthesis and also, during 1974, in Kraftwerk (he played guitar and violin on their classic Autobahn LP).
Röeder also developed an interest in setting his own home studio to produce his own solo recordings, which have been collected and releases in two privately pressed LPs, Elektronische Kompositionen and Kompositionen 1981-1983, plus a further one, Kristallisationen, on the Planam label. |
